Fishers Youth Assistance Program Celebrates Successful Camp Wellness

Fishers, IN – Fishers Youth Assistance Program (FYAP) is proud to announce the successful completion of Camp Wellness, a transformative experience designed to support students’ mental health and overall well-being. The camp, which was held over several days, combined both morning and afternoon sessions, and provided valuable resources and support for 11 clients, ranging from 6th to 12th grade.

Camp participants engaged in a variety of activities that helped address anxiety and promote emotional health. The curriculum included Anxiety 101, presented by Carlabeth Mathias, as well as Paws & Think dog therapy sessions. The camp also incorporated animal therapy at the Chris Center, art therapy exercises, and a peaceful meditative walk at Conner Prairie, all aimed at fostering relaxation and emotional balance.

FYAP is grateful for the community partners and professionals who contributed to the camp’s success. “We are so pleased to have created an environment where students could explore wellness in such a meaningful way,” FYAP Board President Sneha Shah said. “The support we received from local experts and organizations was instrumental in making Camp Wellness a valuable experience for our youth.”
